Chun-Li meets Alter in Apex Legends' Street Fighter crossover
No new uploads, and a ten-day-old fan-made short credited to @fikshunthesamurai is the channel's busiest video.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
CHUN-LI 🆚 ALTER
Ten days old and made by someone outside the studio, "CHUN-LI 🆚 ALTER" is the video doing the most work on the official Apex Legends channel right now. The short, credited in its description to @fikshunthesamurai, pits Street Fighter's first female fighter against Alter, one of Apex's own Legends, and it served as a teaser for the crossover that opened on September 22.
The event trailer itself sits just behind it and has passed 600,000 views in two weeks. Its description is a checklist of the collaboration: Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma and Dhalsim fighting styles in Wildcard, Hadokens and Shoryukens thrown across a remixed Olympus, and eight new Legend skins. Further back, the Marked gameplay trailer from the summer, with Bloodhound stalking an updated World's Edge, is still collecting a few hundred views a day.
Nothing new went up during the week, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among game publishers of similar size, the Apex channel sits fourth by subscribers, while PlayOverwatch ran a little above its usual pace and Bethesda Softworks kept close to its own.
