Would-be thief gets heartwarming surprise

Wholesome Report has shared footage of a bakery worker who refuses to let a man leave with the staff's tips. Once he returns the money, she goes back to the counter, packs a paper bag and gives him food.

The clip, titled "Would-be thief gets heartwarming surprise", has added about 76,000 views in a day, taking it past 100,000. That is a much faster pace than its usual daily viewing, four days after publication.

This is shared CCTV footage, carrying a Daily Mail watermark and a CATERS NEWS credit, rather than a scene filmed by Wholesome Report. On-screen captions place the incident in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The worker's response unfolds in stages. After the man takes money from the jar and leaves, she confronts him outside. From the doorway, she repeatedly demands the tips back in Spanish. He approaches and hands over the money.

She continues speaking sternly before returning inside. The food comes afterwards: she carries the bag to the entrance and hands it to him before he walks away.
