Oil money and mall parking expand UrbanLoon's Loon Lake
Ten uploads include a helicopter predicament, a doubling-payment challenge and a detour into Waterpark Simulator.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This Helicopter Had ONE Job
UrbanLoon had a substantial week among the nearby simulation and strategy channels, with only The Comeback Kids drawing more weekly views in this group. Loon added about 2,000 subscribers, even as daily viewing settled well below its usual pace.
The week's most watched upload, "This Helicopter Had ONE Job," returns to Loon Lake in Cities: Skylines 2 with a conspicuous gap in the city's income. Mining, cotton, timber, farming, entertainment and beaches are already in the mix. Oil is the next ambition. The upload reached roughly 53,000 views, and the comments bring their own municipal concerns: an oil tower dropping into the ocean, and a city surrounded by water apparently needing better fire coverage.
Elsewhere, "Why Won't My Garbage Trucks Move?!?!?!" pairs a familiar city-builder frustration with a less familiar financial rule: start with an empty map and meet an hourly payment that doubles each time. "How I Tricked Parents Into Shopping" has a more expansive shopping list, promising two huge malls, major retailers and plenty of parking. These are simulated urban schemes, not real-world shopping tricks.
The freshest momentum belongs to "#1 Dream Home" and that shopping upload. Despite its residential-sounding title, the description of "#1 Dream Home" sets out a coastline-wide cargo-port project intended to avoid traffic. Ports also supply the week's longer-running thread: "I Accidentally Built the BUSIEST Cargo Port Ever in Cities Skylines 2," posted more than three weeks ago, remains among the channel's busiest daily draws. Loon Lake's appetite for freight extends well beyond a single upload.
