  1. 0:23James examines the updated meerkat animations before previewing aviaries and an aquarium zoo.
  2. 3:28The Scottish Highlands reserve introduces an open-range setting with research vehicles.
  3. 4:46He tests the new path tools, builds a plaza and places shops directly on its paths.
  4. 10:14An existing pond becomes the starting point for an aviary, with barriers, roof poles and translucent mesh.
  5. 18:31A white-tailed sea-eagle arrives, and James adjusts the habitat's terrain with biome paint brushes.

What's the attraction beyond the animals? For James Turner, being able to put a shop directly on a pathway is a surprisingly satisfying part of Planet Zoo 2. His first playthrough gives the new construction tools their turn alongside aviaries, aquariums and a close inspection of the meerkats.

"Let's Play Planet Zoo 2!" is the week's most-watched new upload, reaching roughly 264,000 views. Frontier provided early access and a game code, which James acknowledges at the start. He explores a Scottish Highlands reserve, tests the plaza-building tools and constructs an aviary around an existing pond, adding roof poles and translucent mesh before welcoming a white-tailed sea-eagle.

The comments have their own priorities: his olive shirt earns zookeeper comparisons, returning viewers remember his original Australian zoo series, and the improved path connections get some very specific attention. The meerkat's belly also has an admirer.

That introduction has already become a continuing project. "Starting a new Zoo in Planet Zoo 2!" opens a franchise, followed by "I built a deer habitat in Planet Zoo 2! (Part 2)". The deer episode is currently drawing views fastest among his uploads, while the franchise opener had a stronger first day than the initial look at the game.

Across the channel, daily views are running at more than twice their usual level, with just over a million added over the week. Subscribers are unchanged. For friendly context, that weekly viewing total is close to Oxhorn's, while lilsimsie had a larger viewing week. James's own week belongs entirely to zoo-building, from figuring out the paths to giving the next animals somewhere to live.
