Before the bombs, Oxhorn traces Fallout's Sino-American War
Two new lore uploads connect the fictional conflict overseas with the Red Scare targeting citizens at home.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Full Story of the Sino-American War
Oxhorn's latest Fallout history lesson has a second use: helping a viewer build a tabletop RPG world. Under "The Full Story of the Sino-American War," one game runner singles out learning about Psycho's origins, while others imagine settings the games could explore, including China's postwar ruins.
The October 16 upload was the larger draw of the channel's two new videos, reaching about 110,000 views. It also has the strongest daily momentum among Oxhorn's active uploads. This is the Fallout universe's fictional war, part of the history behind the wasteland, rather than a report about a real conflict.
Its companion, "How Fallout's Red Scare targeted American citizens," brings that prewar perspective home. Together, the titles widen the lens beyond the ruined buildings and vaults that have supplied so many of Oxhorn's stories: what happened before the destruction matters, too.
The older catalog supplies another side of that timeline. "The Aftermath of Fallout's Bombs" continues drawing views, followed among the busiest uploads by "The Automation Riots of Fallout's America."
Across the channel, the week brought roughly a million additional views and an unchanged subscriber count. Daily viewing is currently a little below its usual level. Nearby gaming channels had varied weeks: WolfeyVGC and lilsimsie drew substantially more weekly views, while OperatorDrewski's total was close to Oxhorn's.
For Oxhorn's viewers, the prewar material is also prompting a creative request: a game set in the world before the bombs, not just another journey through what survived them.

Wow Ox, even here I am learning new things. Had no idea about Psycho's origins.
I am currently running a Fallout Tabletop RPG game and your lore videos are a huge help in building the world, thank you@CameronSanchezArtSee it on YouTubeBeen watching you since 2020 OX, and I love these deep dive videos on the Fallout Universe before the bombs. Feels like an untold story, a game maybe that should be made.

I've been going through all of oxhorns dlc content in order this week and needed a break. So glad I refreshed to this!
@thomasmcmurry8853See it on YouTubeI enjoy the depth of the lore of the Fallout universe, but I don't know if I'd ever truly realized its scope without your mini-docs. Thank you once again, Oxhorn, for a beautiful lore dive!
@lawgochSee it on YouTubeI'll borrow that as reference for my Canadian TTRPG. 😊
@Marquise1See it on YouTubeI wonder what a Fallout game in China would be like, exploring ruins of ancient cities that is still divided between the decedents of American and Chinese soldiers. Or those same soldiers only ghoulified and still stuck in a stalemate/watchful “peace” but still haven’t ended their battle.
@deathstar4489See it on YouTubeGreat vid, Ox! Your lore videos are excellent - thorough and written with a storyteller's view. Keep them coming!
