Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Going for a walk with Darth 🐊

Darth has let himself out, and his keeper turns the unscheduled outing into a close-up anatomy lesson. In "Going for a walk with Darth 🐊", she follows the large alligator across the floor, pointing out his tall posture, broad feet and the clicking of his claws.

When he settles, the lesson moves to his back. Those ridges are osteoderms, bony structures within the skin, and a firm tap lets the camera hear the armor as well as see it. Viewers pick up on the contrast between his imposing size and the keeper's easy proximity: some admire the encounter while making clear they would keep their distance.

The clip has reached roughly 55,000 views, the largest audience among the week's nine uploads. It is also attracting the most daily viewing in the catalog right now. Alligator walks have become something of a theme: "I Took a PIED Alligator for a WALK" follows Juliette taking one out on a leash before feeding rounds involving a baby gator, a caiman and Zero.

Elsewhere, baby black dragons, snake eggs and animal-moving duties filled the feed. "HALLOWEEN at the REPTILE ZOO" brought Juliette face to face with a praying mantis and a centipede, with Darth getting an after-dark feeding.

Across the channel, the week added about 2.8 million views while subscribers stayed level. Daily viewing is currently a little over half its usual pace, though The Reptile Zoo gained more weekly views than the animal channels in this peer group, including Alveus Sanctuary and kyreptilezoo. For this week's new uploads, it is Darth's feet, posture and armored back doing the most to bring people closer.
