Chloe Silverado returns to The Mindy Project's pretend-romance chaos
Three season-two clips revisit Danny's fake girlfriend, an office publicity crisis and Casey's music festival.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Fake Girlfriend Plot | The Mindy Project
What happens when Danny asks Mindy to pretend they're dating? She doesn't settle for a plausible cover story. In "The Fake Girlfriend Plot | The Mindy Project," she becomes Chloe Silverado, complete with a blood diamond and an impending baby.
The lobby encounter with Danny's ex, Amy, drew the largest total audience among the official channel's three new clips, reaching about 9,200 views. Mindy Kaling's Mindy and Chris Messina's Danny make a particularly good setup for this kind of escalating fiction: his request for help becomes her opportunity to improvise. One viewer is asking for more Chloe Silverado.
The other uploads take the awkwardness elsewhere. "Festival Frenzy and Medical Tent Drama | The Mindy Project" pairs Mindy's doubts about Casey's lifestyle with medical-tent duties and Morgan's ill-advised cannonball. "The White Power Mommy Blogger | The Mindy Project" is a scripted sitcom scene about the practice discovering that an enthusiastic review comes from a white supremacist website, followed by a protest from its neighboring midwives. That newer clip currently has the strongest daily viewing of the three, despite the fake-girlfriend story's larger total.
The channel added a thousand subscribers over seven days, while today's viewing is roughly half its usual daily level. Its weekly view gain was modest beside nearby television channels, with BBC Comedy, NCIS and Gilmore Girls drawing much larger audiences.
Season two also supplies the older compilation "Hilarious Moments to Convince you to Rewatch The Mindy Project," which continues to draw fresh views alongside the new scene selections.
