Grandpa Keeps Sweet Tradition Going With Two Very Unimpressed Cats | The Dodo

Grandpa wants a picture. Chouchou and Miko have other priorities, mostly bickering rather than posing among the flowers. Dodo editor Valentina tells the story behind their outings in "Grandpa Keeps Sweet Tradition Going With Two Very Unimpressed Cats | The Dodo," the most watched of the channel's fifteen new uploads.

The tradition began years ago with Wolf, and Grandpa has continued it with this less cooperative pair. The video has passed half a million views and is also drawing the most daily views on the channel. In the comments, viewers imagine sibling arguments between the cats, admire the flower fields and ask whether a calendar is on the way. One points to the video itself as something the family will cherish.

Unplanned additions to the family run through other new stories. A whole litter of puppies goes home for baths and care, while Bruno turns an ordinary errand trip into an adoption. Editor Monica revisits how meeting Amber's daughter changed that family's plans, and how they use Bruno's online visibility to help other rescue dogs find homes. Olive the parakeet offers a different version of attachment: Heather's clothes double as a place to cuddle, and personal space is in short supply.

The Dodo's subscriber count stayed unchanged, while daily viewing is running at less than a third of its usual level. Even so, its weekly views were the highest among this group of animal channels; The Pet Collective is enjoying an above-usual daily audience.

Behind Grandpa's cats, the strongest daily momentum belongs to energetic dog Pony's adjustment to a new baby and Johnny Cucumber, a rescued rabbit whose returning mobility comes with a decidedly feisty personality.
