Fake accounts and sham contracts: Mark Goldbridge's Man City verdict week

Fourteen uploads circled one story, from the first guilty headline on September 25 to a 75-minute live debate on what City's titles are now worth.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Eighteen hours old and already near 700,000 views, "IT GETS WORSE FOR CITY!" is the newest chapter of a week Mark Goldbridge gave almost entirely to Manchester City. Its chapters run from the day's headlines to a question he keeps returning to: should expulsion be on the table?

The story unfolded across the week. "MAN CITY GUILTY OF FFP CHARGES!" came first, on September 25, and has passed 900,000 views, the biggest total of the fourteen new uploads. Four days later came "PREMIER LEAGUE ANNOUNCE MAN CITY VERDICT!", with chapters on fake accounts, sham contracts and dodgy sponsors, and the same evening a live debate, "THE END OF MAN CITY!", ran well over an hour. Its chapter titles do a lot of the talking, among them a claim that there is only one legitimate treble and a closing choice billed as relegation or eternal embarrassment. In between, he offered City fans his sympathy and said he does not want the titles handed to anyone.

The one break from the verdict was football itself: a live watchalong of England against Spain in the Nations League, which drew close to 400,000 views in its first day.

The channel's daily views overall sat below their usual level, perhaps because so much of the week's interest landed within each video's first day. Among similar football channels, ESPN UK and Tifo Football are the ones running above their usual pace, while The Overlap holds steady close to its usual pace.
