Martin picks the iPhone Duo for his first phone review

A channel known for polishing cloths and bathroom gadgets tries a more conventional tech subject as views and subscribers jump.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 446,123 views a day, 29 times a normal day (15,523).

Martin's idea of a dream setup has room for an electric bidet and a toilet timer. A phone review is almost a conventional turn for this particular gadget shelf.

"The iPhone Duo Review," posted October 26, is his first-ever phone review, according to its description. It arrives as the channel draws roughly 450,000 views in a day, nearly thirty times its usual daily pace. About 6,000 subscribers joined over the same period, an unusually large gain for Martin too.

The upload has already become the channel's third-most-watched regular video. Ahead of it are "My DREAM Setup Tour" and "I reviewed Apple's best product," so this first phone review joins a small collection whose subjects have hardly followed the standard tech-review checklist.

Martin had promised more reviews in the setup tour's description. The iPhone Duo delivers on that promise with a different kind of product, following Shorts devoted to Apple's polishing cloth and one pointedly titled "MKBHD ignores products that actually matter."
