Surface reaches five million views during its Laptop Ultra rollout

The broader "Stepping into the future" film has a much larger audience than the separate magnetic-charging video.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 1,200,985 views a day, 27 times a normal day (45,104).

"Surface Laptop Ultra | Stepping into the future" is the standout in Microsoft's latest batch of Surface videos, with more than two million views. The separate upload devoted to magnetic USB-C charging has a much smaller audience, even though it puts a specific hardware feature in its title.

The official Surface channel added roughly 1.2 million views in a day, far beyond its usual daily pace. That jump comes during the Laptop Ultra rollout, although the channel-wide increase cannot all be assigned to one film.

These are Microsoft's own promotional videos, not independent product reviews. The charging upload bills its feature as "World's First Built-In Magnetic USB-C Charging," while the more widely viewed film uses the broader "Stepping into the future" title.

Microsoft has since added "Created to go above and beyond." It is newer than both Ultra uploads, but the earlier film still has by far the largest accumulated audience among the channel's recent releases.
