Why this story? One of the most watched videos since yesterday, with 8,602,920 views.

It was nice knowing him 😭

Hands scoop white foam back into an open washing machine, but the suds are already spilling onto the floor. Off-camera, a mother has a question: why run a wash for just two socks?

Her son's defense is that he was trying to be independent. Her answer leaves room for initiative, just not unsupervised laundry: "It's okay to be independent, but you ask!"

Smirk's reposted clip drew roughly 8.6 million views since yesterday. The channel edits existing footage with captions and reaction imagery; here, frantic apologies and a brief face-meme cut supply the comic rhythm. Despite the ominous title, "It was nice knowing him 😭", what the Short actually shows is a foamy household mishap and a disagreement over when to ask for help.
