Sly Huncho takes the barber vlog beyond the chair

Queen Harm joins a day of gym work, client transformations and an at-home hair-steaming session.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The clippers are only part of Sly Huncho's working day. His new day-in-the-life vlog starts with pull-ups and ends with fruit going through a juicer, with a salon shift and some care for Queen Harm's hair in between.

"As a barber, I'm not just cutting hair all day," he says. That's the point of the week's most-watched upload, whose title spells out his intention: "The purpose of these vlogs are to show other barbers there's more to life than just cutting hair". It has reached roughly 216,000 views.

Harm holds the light during his morning workout. Later, Sly sets up a hair steamer in the living room and washes, conditions and steams her hair. Between those scenes come the client transformations he says are his favorite part of the job. One client tells him that since the haircut, he has landed a long-term substitute teaching job. Viewers pick up on the combination of work and self-care, with one older viewer saying the routine motivates him too.

The other three uploads keep that mix going: two haircut posts, including "Halloween haircut", and a beginner-friendly pineapple ginger juice video. Beyond the new releases, "My hair came along way, now it's time to cut it 😭 #hairgrowthjourney" is drawing the most daily views among his active uploads, while an older extreme makeover also keeps moving.

Sly added 10,000 subscribers over the week, and daily viewing is currently above his usual level. In the surrounding beauty-and-hair group, alena had a particularly big week, while Mo's Barbers grew its views more modestly. For Sly, the new vlog gives the haircut reveals some company: the work that happens before and after the barber coat goes on.
