Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Exploring an UNHINGED Adult Science Fair

Sauce + left the upload button alone, but its adult science fair has plenty of life in it. "Exploring an UNHINGED Adult Science Fair" has reached roughly 650,000 views and is the busiest video on the channel's active shelf by a considerable margin.

The description credits a mix of engineering and internet personalities: William Osman, Allen Pan, Emily The Engineer, Michael Reeves, TheBackyardScientist, ThePrimeTimeagen and DougDoug. Reeves is known for turning robotics into comedy, while Emily The Engineer builds ambitious projects that bring fictional gadgets into the physical world. That gives the science-fair title a rather different flavor from the school-hall version.

This is the official channel for the Sauce + streaming service, formerly Open Sauce's official channel, so an upload break fits a home that shares selections from its catalog rather than posting every day. Two other September uploads, "Personally, I would've caused an explosion" and "A career change with a few detours," are also drawing views, though on a much smaller scale than the fair.

The channel gained about 1,000 subscribers over the week, with today's viewing slightly above its usual daily pace. Nearby entertainment channels had varied weeks: BBC Antiques Roadshow and Hat Trick Comedy drew substantial weekly audiences, while Star Trek's daily viewing is below its usual level. For Sauce +, the useful distinction is simpler: no new release was needed for its maker-filled catalog to keep finding viewers.
