Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Eldritch Abominations & Cosmic Entities | Rick and Morty | adult swim

What does Jerry bring to a compilation of horrors beyond human comprehension? For some viewers of Rick and Morty's biggest new upload, the answer is a useful contrast to Rick's cynicism. Amid the monster talk, they're discussing Jerry's whimsical side and picking out a calendar joke in the background.

The official channel posted two compilations, rather than new episodes. "Eldritch Abominations & Cosmic Entities | Rick and Morty | adult swim" gathers space monsters and interdimensional horrors, reaching about 209,000 views. "Bloodlust, Purges & Multiverse Rampages | Rick and Morty | adult swim" follows with planetary purges and slasher survival across dimensions. The cosmic collection has the larger total, while the newer rampage compilation is currently drawing more views each day.

Neither is the channel's busiest video right now. That distinction belongs to "🔴 Rick and Morty: Season 1-6 Clips | Best Of | Livestream", a broad catch-up through the show's earlier seasons that continues to draw a larger daily audience than either themed upload.

The channel added roughly two million views over the week and continued gaining subscribers, although today's viewing pace is below its usual level. Among nearby television and streaming channels, it had the largest weekly view gain; SBS On Demand and Everybody Loves Raymond also had substantial weeks.

For Rick and Morty, the week's particular pleasure is in the smaller details inside those large-scale disasters: viewers spotting the calendar, revisiting Rick's snake-device explanation and finding room to talk about Jerry among the cosmic entities.

Jerry is oddly adorable. I love the way they’ve revitalised his character! He’s like the whimsical foil to Rick’s cynical edge.

I'm still genuinely surprised the Smith Family made it out of some of the most horrible monsters and cosmic beings the universe or Multiverse has to offer... 😐🤔😅

I loved it later when Rick admits he isn't turning anyone into a snake, it's a disintegrator and snake in a leg tube...
