Mexico's high-altitude challenge puts Red Bull Racing on the pedals

Calum Nicholas, Tommo McCluskey and Sebastian Job explore the circuit in Oracle Virtual Laps, alongside a busy run of US Grand Prix clips.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What makes Mexico such an awkward lap to get right? Oracle Red Bull Racing's latest Oracle Virtual Laps instalment tackles the question through the circuit layout and pedal inputs, with Calum Nicholas, Tommo McCluskey and Sebastian Job taking viewers around the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

The team's dashboard adds another way into the driving, showing the inputs behind a lap rather than just the car's path. Mexico City's thin air gives this circuit a distinctive engineering puzzle: it reduces aerodynamic downforce as well as drag. The virtual tour is currently drawing the most daily views among the channel's active uploads, a more technical counterpart to the week's paddock snapshots.

There were fifteen uploads altogether. The biggest new audience went to "Max watching Kimi 🥹👏#F1 #RedBullRacing #USGP", now at roughly 865,000 views. Verstappen applauds before Kimi Antonelli arrives for handshakes and embraces with him and Charles Leclerc. Crew portraits, podium arrivals and parc fermé greetings fill out the Austin side of the week.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached about 6.6 million views and subscribers continued to grow. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level, rather than undergoing a big swing. Nearby in motorsport, MotoGP is enjoying markedly stronger-than-usual daily viewing, while McLaren is also above its normal daily pace.

Red Bull's programme has room for a football detour too: "Kane or Yamal, Isack? ⚽️ #F1 #BallonDor" puts a different selection question to Isack Hadjar between the racing uploads.
