"It's always the mustangs": a table, a crowd and no one shouting stop

QUIET SRT's newest Short leans on car culture's favorite Mustang joke, and its comment section keeps asking the same thing about the driver.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 83,338 views a day, 11 times a normal first day on this channel (7,879).

It’s always the mustangs😭🤦‍♂️It’s always the mustangs😭🤦‍♂️

QUIET SRT leaned on one of car culture's best-worn jokes for its newest Short, and put the whole joke in the title: "It's always the mustangs😭🤦‍♂️". The gag is an old one among car fans. When someone leaves a car meet too fast and ends up where no car belongs, the badge on the grille is usually a running pony.

Thirteen hours after it went up, the clip had passed 60,000 views. A Short on this channel usually ends its first full day near 8,000.

The comment section filled up even faster. A Short here usually collects about a dozen comments on its first day. This one had close to two hundred within its first half day. As viewers tell it, the driver hit a table and chairs and kept going while everyone around him yelled. What they keep coming back to is what the crowd yelled: plenty of long "ohhh"s, and not one "stop." Others wonder how he did not notice, joke that switching on the windshield wipers would not have helped, and enjoy the moment he steps out apologizing as if he had only watched it happen. A smaller group is sure he did it on purpose.

The channel's about text is three words long, "Not So Quiet," and the name fits a feed built on loud exhausts and short, emoji-heavy titles. Mustangs are part of that mix. Among the uploads that followed the crash clip is "Loud Mustang POV drive 😳," a ride-along that had close to 7,000 views within hours. Earlier this month, as we reported here, it was a Corvette and a downshift in front of a police officer that drew the crowd.
