Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Cat Piano Fantasia - Parry Gripp - Animation by @topes_soup

A purple robe, a wizard hat and a floating yellow star: the cat in Parry Gripp's "Cat Piano Fantasia" has quite a stage outfit. It starts by tapping a blue keyboard, then takes a keytar into space, glides along Saturn's rings and eventually trades up to a grand piano with a microphone.

With no new uploads this week, that animated musical excursion is the busiest of the channel's videos right now. The collaboration with @topes_soup is approaching 930,000 views, adding roughly 4,700 a day. Its final return to the simple keyboard gives this miniature cosmic adventure a neatly earthbound finish.

Nathan Mazur's animations supply the other pockets of activity: "Waffle City - Parry Gripp - Animation by Nathan Mazur" follows close behind in daily viewing, with "Jimothy - Parry Gripp - Animation by Nathan Mazur #jimothy" also drawing a regular audience.

Subscriber growth paused over the week, though the channel remains up over the past month. Among its music-channel neighbors, JohnMichaelHowell had a notably busier week of growth, while doddleoddle's subscriber count also held steady. For Parry Gripp, the week's activity belongs to the existing cast: a keyboard cat, waffles and Jimothy.
