"Why don't they just use a flashlight by the way?" Ninjagaming asks, partway through a Roblox animation about torch keepers who guard a town from living darkness. His streams run on questions like that: someone else's elaborate premise, met with a practical shrug.

"🔴WATCHING THE FUNNIEST YT SHORTS..🔴" is a recording of one of his daily live shows, and it drew about 1.4 million views in its first four hours. He appears on webcam as a Roblox avatar and watches other creators' Shorts. The channel's about text says plainly that those clips belong to the people who made them.

Unlike the no-laugh and no-cringe dares of his recent streams, nothing here threatens to end the show early. The Shorts lean toward strange what-ifs. In one, everyone can freeze time for ten seconds a day, and a boy saves his up to rescue a school bus. In another, personal black holes follow people around to swallow their trash. ("If you don't like somebody you can just throw them in your black hole," he reasons.) A third imagines a town where gravity flips every Sunday at noon.

Some of the stranger stories are true. A short on Tsutomu Yamaguchi, who survived both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, gets a simple verdict: "This guy may be the main character." Near the end comes Mehran Karimi Nasseri, who lived at Charles de Gaulle Airport for 18 years.

A subscriber counter runs beside it all. In the third minute he sets a goal for a Robux giveaway, and the count passes it a little after the 44-minute mark. It was a Monday, he explains, so there would be no second stream that day: "Mondays suck."
