Nikola Toy's "Dancing Venom" puts the beat in black liquid

The desktop speaker pairs a ferrofluid display with wireless phone charging in the most watched of nine new uploads.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A small magnet near the glass gives Nikola Toy's desktop speaker a second conductor. In "Dancing Venom," black ferrofluid pulses to the music inside an illuminated window, then shifts as the demonstrator brings the magnet close.

There is no spoken explanation, just hands, buttons and a phone pairing over Bluetooth as "Venom Sound." The phone then goes on top to demonstrate wireless charging. It is a compact gadget showcase, with the moving liquid doing most of the talking, and it has reached roughly 74,000 views, the largest audience among the week's new uploads.

Nikola Toy posted nine videos, ranging from "Try assembling a tank with your child" to "Make a work of art out of Slam Dunk." A second title, "Do you love the dancing venom?", returned to the week's eye-catching theme. "Dancing Venom" also has the most daily momentum, though the newly posted "Try to assemble airplane engine" is drawing views at a similar rate. "Unboxing The Iron Man Earbuds" is another active arrival.

Across the channel, the week brought about 1.4 million views while subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is now well above its usual level. Among nearby gadget channels, TechSource collected a similar weekly audience, while CarterPCs had a much larger week and The Verge added subscribers. For Nikola Toy, the distinctive new attraction is something smaller: a desk speaker whose music comes with a moving black silhouette.
