Max Klymenko brings a counting puzzle to the Ballon d'Or

His red-carpet quiz asks for countries with the most individual winners, not the most trophies.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What country makes the BEST footballers? ⚽️ (by Ballon d’Or winners)What country makes the BEST footballers? ⚽️ (by Ballon d’Or winners)

Argentina seems an obvious answer to a football greatness question. At the Ballon d'Or ceremony, several of Max Klymenko's interviewees try it, only to discover that his quiz has a more particular rule: count different winners, rather than every award they have collected.

That distinction gives "What country makes the BEST footballers? ⚽️ (by Ballon d'Or winners)" its talking point. Viewers explain why Lionel Messi's repeated wins count as a single name, while others question whether an awards tally can answer the much broader question in the title. Several describe calling out France at their phones. Max eventually reveals it at the top of his board.

The red-carpet outing was the most-watched of six uploads, reaching roughly 6.6 million views. His familiar career-guessing series supplied much of the rest of the week, including "His job is all about SPEAKING? 💪 Ep. 687 🪜", which has passed 3.6 million views and is currently adding views faster than the football quiz.

An older ladder episode, "His job causes a lifetime of PAIN and ANGUISH 😬 Ep. 673 🪜", remains the channel's strongest daily draw. The new uploads aren't doing all the lifting.

Max added 30,000 subscribers over the week. Daily viewing is a little above his usual level, rather than showing a dramatic surge. Among nearby business and money channels, his weekly views were the largest in the group, while CNBC Television also had an above-usual day. For Max, a week rooted in careers found its biggest new audience through football trivia.

What viewers say

  • “What country produces the best footballers” is a VERY different question from “what country has the most ballon dor winners”
  • For those who don’t understand: Argentina isn’t in top 10 because it’s different winners, even though Messi has won 8 he counts as only one

  • “Used to consist of two countries”

do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
