SUPERNATURAL MAGIC! #shorts

Howie Mandel holds two chalkboards together with a piece of chalk sealed between them. Mike Super asks him to think of someone he has an emotional connection with, while Nick Cannon supplies a two-digit number. The props look simple. The routine gives them plenty to do.

"SUPERNATURAL MAGIC! #shorts" is the most watched new upload on Magician's Got Talent this week, reaching roughly 42,000 views. The clips channel revisits Super's America's Got Talent performance, complete with his unseen spirit companion, Desmond. A name appears on one slate; the other carries a number grid whose rows add up to Cannon's choice. Even the judges' birth months get pulled into the arithmetic.

Super emphasizes that the chalkboards are analog, a detail viewers have picked up on: some jokingly suspect considerably more technology inside those frames. Others are simply asking how the trick works.

Five uploads arrived this week. The regular-video selection includes "10 Magicians Who Made the Judges Say HOW? | Got Talent," a spooky performance collection and a compilation that makes the audience part of the act. Among older Shorts, Léa Kyle's quick-change audition remains especially busy, with "HOW ON EARTH is she doing this? #shorts" now past 1.3 million views and drawing almost as many daily views as Super's new clip.

The subscriber count was unchanged over seven days, while daily viewing is a little below its usual pace. Nearby in the talent-show neighborhood, The X Factor USA is seeing livelier-than-usual daily viewing, while American Idol is quieter. For Magician's Got Talent, the week's most active attractions offer two very different puzzles: Kyle's changing outfits and Super's apparently ordinary chalkboards.
