Almost EVERYONE flipped...
Blue arrows cover the map on Ludwig's screen. He keeps looking for an exception, then zooms into Florida: Sumter County is the lone Republican-shifting county identified in his election-map commentary.
Posted today, "Almost EVERYONE flipped..." has drawn just over a million views in its first ten hours. The Short compares county-level voting shifts between the 2024 presidential election and the 2026 midterms. Ludwig explains that longer blue arrows indicate bigger moves toward Democrats, before expressing surprise at finding only one red-shifting example.
The important distinction is between direction and outcome. A county can move toward Democrats while still voting Republican; the arrows don't mean almost every county changed hands, despite the title's shorthand. The map labels Sumter as six points more Republican than in the presidential election. Ludwig ends still marveling at its isolation: "It's crazy that there's not even a second example."
