Kat Clark's puppy yoga surprise makes saying no harder
Her dachshund-filled outing with Deja draws almost ten times the usual first-day audience for her Shorts.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 399,289 views a day, 9.5 times a normal first day on this channel (41,947).
Maybe this wasn’t a good idea 🥲 #vlog
Kat wants one too. She takes Deja to puppy yoga after explaining why the family cannot get a dog, then finds herself cuddling a dachshund and wanting to bring it home.
The surprise starts with an early wake-up for Deja and her friend, who went to sleep late. Before they head out, Kat sets out the practical obstacle: "A puppy means full-time attention, which we just don't have."
At the studio, the puppies arrive partway through the yoga session. Soon they are playing around the mats, and Kat's attention shifts firmly from exercise to the dog in her arms. "This is the only way I want to do yoga from now on," she says.
The Short drew roughly 400,000 views in its first day. Its comment section was also several times busier than usual, with viewers discussing the work involved in raising puppies, comparing dachshund pronunciations and picking up on the funny idea of puppies running late.
By the time they leave, Deja wants a puppy of her own. Kat's closing joke supplies the explanation for her title, "Maybe this wasn't a good idea": the outing has given her daughter another reason to ask.
