The Sisters of Ladakh | Preview

The monastery offers more. In "The Sisters of Ladakh | Preview", young women choosing religious life in India's high-altitude region also gain opportunities for independence, literacy and secular education. The Lobodocs film's description includes a telling detail: internet access is part of that expanding world, even in monasteries on the mountaintops.

Journeyman Pictures posted just this preview over the week. It has drawn roughly 3,200 views, a small new addition to a documentary library that added more than half a million views overall. Subscribers remained unchanged, while daily viewing is running slightly below its usual level.

Among the channel's active uploads, "Buying Sex in Sweden | Preview" has the strongest daily momentum. The SBS Dateline film examines the Nordic Model, under which selling sex is legal but buying it is not, and presents competing arguments about exploitation and the industry being pushed underground.

Another continuing thread is "Kikuyu Land | Official Theatrical Trailer | Coming Soon". Its premise follows Nairobi journalist Bea Wangondu as an investigation into a civil petition against the British Crown and Kenya's global tea industry leads toward concealed family history. Journeyman's new Ladakh preview takes a different route into questions of opportunity: through the education and freedoms available to women choosing monastic life.
