A day in the life of a geezer part 2
"A day in the life of a geezer" is Johnny Carey's new mini-series, and he posted it in two halves: Part 1 on October 1, part 2 the very next day. The British comedian's take on the swaggering geezer is a character his longtime viewers already know, and the second instalment is the one moving fastest on the channel right now, drawing in its first eleven hours more than the opening episode managed in its whole first day.
The week's third upload stepped out of character. "Johnny Carey's brother is jokes 😂" is a short starring his brother, and it became the most watched of the three. Its comment section has a theory: several viewers reckon they can now see where the inspiration for the Geezer came from.
The Marbella trip is still around too. "I Got Blackout Drunk In Marbella...", a party vlog from a week in Spain posted thirteen days ago, keeps finding viewers between the new episodes.
All of that has the channel running at nearly twice its usual daily pace, though the subscriber count sat steady at 1.3 million. Among sketch channels of a similar size, it is a quieter stretch for him: dinocornel, Ryan Kelly Comedy and You Betcha are all having big weeks, and EllaGLife is running at about double its own usual level. Johnny's week is smaller, but it has his own character at the heart of it, and now, it seems, the family member who may have inspired him.
