Jenna Lu's comedy week stretched from Panem to the job interview, with a little musical-toothbrush nostalgia at the end. The Hunger Games sketch drew the biggest audience among her six new uploads, reaching about 122,000 views.
It's a staged parody, turning the world of Katniss, Gale and Peeta into an opportunity for attention-seeking flirtation. Viewers keep pointing to the image of Peeta behind Jenna as her character reacts to his name. Others are requesting a follow-up that puts her character inside the Games themselves. The contrast is the joke: a life-or-death selection becomes a very awkward social occasion.
Halloween supplied two more premises, a coming-of-age character discovering she's a witch on her birthday and an Alison DiLaurentis costume nod to Pretty Little Liars. Away from movie and television references, Jenna tackled bragging moms, the corporate promise of being welcomed into a "family," and memories of Tooth Tunes toothbrushes.
The job-interview sketch currently draws the most daily views of her videos, followed by the Hunger Games parody. Her Pinterest craft session, posted just before this week, also remains active, offering necklaces, miniature watercolor paintings and a faux sequin chandelier instead of another character joke.
Her subscriber audience grew modestly, adding about 2,000 over seven days, although today's viewing is well below her usual daily level. Among nearby comedy channels, Hispanixs had a particularly large viewing week, while Savannah Gracey & Lafay Williams had a quieter one. Jenna's mix of sketches and crafts brought her more than three million channel views over the week.
