Jenna Lu keeps doing her makeup, but the judging on Victoria's Secret's Angels Among Us is giving her pause. How can a modeling competition mark one contestant down for being too energetic while criticizing another for not bringing enough energy?

That is the sticking point in her get-ready-with-me review, which added roughly 27,000 views in a day, more than seven times its usual daily pace. Posted six days ago, the video swaps her familiar coming-of-age comedy for a direct critique of reality-TV storytelling.

Jenna argues that some of the strongest contestants are being eliminated precisely because they already seem ready for the job. Her theory is that the show wants someone it can visibly transform, rather than a polished model. She also questions why being apologetic should count against a contestant.

The unpredictability reminds her less of a talent contest than Pretty Little Liars: keeping the audience guessing becomes the point. Importantly, she says she is fine with the final three. It is the reasoning along the way that frustrates her.

The comments pick up that same question. Viewers return to the criticism of excessive energy and ask how personality and good manners became liabilities. Jenna likes a competition docuseries; she just wants to understand the assignment.
