Hoopla Recipes gives its Halloween ghost cake teeth and eyeballs
A new decorating compilation joins a sizable spooky-dessert library as daily channel views climb well beyond their usual pace.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 293,516 views a day, 6.6 times a normal day (44,682).
A ghost made of vanilla cake sounds fairly friendly. Hoopla Recipes adds teeth, eyeballs and red chocolate ganache, taking its newest Halloween creation somewhere less welcoming.
The ghost shares the latest compilation with an orange-and-black pumpkin face and a pink spiderweb cake. The description lays out a particularly sticky decorating choice for the latter: melted marshmallows, alongside black buttercream and pale pink ganache. These are cakes dressed for the occasion, rather than recipes that depend on pumpkin flavor.
Across the channel, daily viewing has climbed to roughly 294,000 views, more than six times its usual pace. That jump is much larger than the audience for the newest compilation, which has only a few hundred views so far. It is not a new-upload breakout.
Halloween does, however, have deep roots in this baking library. Its most-watched regular video, "Halloween Cake Pops | How To Make Spooky Cakesicles | Cake Popsicles", dates to 2023 and has nearly 50 million views. Perhaps the approaching holiday is giving those older decorating ideas another outing, though it is not clear which uploads account for the surge.
The new additions extend well beyond full-size cakes: mini jars, monster cupcakes and custard buns offer smaller ways into Hoopla Recipes' decidedly toothy dessert table.
