Hayden Jones comes dressed as a chicken bucket, but dessert gets the main event. In "Can a Chocolate Head Survive a Dunk? 🎃🏀🍫", he works through objects ranked by their supposed edibility, starting with a conventional basketball and finishing with a hollow chocolate Frankenstein head.

The scale is hardly scientific: a fuzzy novelty ball and a plush basketball get ratings of their own. Then come gummy basketballs, which Hayden samples with an emphatic "I hate it, every time." A whole pumpkin breaks apart on the driveway before he lays down a protective tarp for the chocolate finale. The head shatters against the rim, scattering chocolate and candy below.

That was the week's only new upload, reaching about 28,000 views. The bigger movement remains elsewhere in his wonderfully impractical equipment cupboard: September's gummy basketball Short is adding hundreds of thousands of views a day, followed by his NeeDoh basketball shoes. The oversized-hoop experiment is also drawing viewers.

Hayden added 20,000 subscribers over the week, taking him beyond the two-million mark that was approaching in our earlier note. Daily views are running somewhat above his usual level. Among nearby American sports channels, The Baseball Bat Bros is enjoying a particularly busy spell, while Aj Greene's daily viewing is close to its normal rhythm. For Hayden, edible dunking equipment now stretches from the gummy ball to a chocolate head, though neither seems especially suited to a second possession.
