Hangtime skips the portions and puts whole packages in the oven
Cookie dough, cinnamon rolls and puff pastry fill an October experiment that has passed 13.5 million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I baked the ENTIRE thing
An upright log of cookie dough doesn't stay upright for long. In Hangtime's "I baked the ENTIRE thing," it collapses in the oven into a half-baked loaf, the first result in a kitchen experiment that treats portioning as optional.
There were no new uploads this week, but the channel added about six million views across its archive. The whole-package baking video is its strongest daily draw right now, followed by "How much can you curl UNDERWATER?" and the summer upload "I Stayed in the Best Room at Every Theme Park."
The baking experiment offers several different answers to the same question. A cylinder of joined-up cinnamon rolls gets iced and handed to the host's wife, whose verdict is simply "Doughy." A sheet of puff pastry balloons into a pillow-like crust. An entire tub of cookie dough becomes a thick, oversized cookie that gets a much warmer reception from the host.
Subscriber numbers stayed unchanged over the week, while daily viewing is currently below Hangtime's usual level. Among nearby challenge channels, Brotherofcolor had a particularly busy week, and NDL added a similar volume of weekly views to Hangtime.
Back in the kitchen, the experiment's savory entry is an unbroken roll of pork sausage. After inspecting the greasy cooked log, the host reaches a straightforward conclusion: "Honestly, I'd rather have a cookie."
