A mountain warning filed under #velocidade wakes up on Facto Whiz
Three days after it went up, the short is running more than twenty times its own usual pace and supplying about two-thirds of the channel's daily views.
Why this story? The video is running at 25,768 views a day, 22 times its usual pace (1,197).
#velocidade
On its first day, "Why You Should Never Climb This Mountain!" drew a little under 3,000 views. Three days in, it has passed 29,000 and is gathering views at more than twenty times its own usual rate.
The title on the page gives nothing away. Like many Facto Whiz uploads, it goes out under a bare hashtag, #velocidade, Portuguese for "speed," which has nothing to do with climbing. The real question is in the description, and the tags point toward China and an American audience. The facts do not name the mountain. The description says its characters, scenes and voices are AI-generated.
The jump stands out because the rest of the channel is quiet. Facto Whiz is drawing well under half its normal daily views right now, and this one short accounts for about two-thirds of what it does get.
The videos around it make a small cabinet of "why" questions. One asks why people wince at Vegemite on the first bite, another why corner flags no longer snap, and a third why a golf course bubbles. That last one comes with an answer: heavy rain traps water under the turf, and workers punch holes in the green to let it out. A weird-pillow warning posted the same day as the mountain sits a little behind it.
