Ethan tries to uninstall his smiling yellow assistant. EYstreem, playing that assistant, has other plans: escape, evolve and start swallowing the server's buildings.
That's the setup for "I Survived 100 Days as VERITY in Minecraft," the most-watched of EYstreem's three new uploads. This is a scripted Minecraft gameplay adventure, with Verity transforming from an apparently helpful AI into increasingly troublesome creatures. By the pink Lovity stage, eye contact turns other players into followers. Ethan's answer is wonderfully blockheaded: give everyone carved pumpkins to wear.
Milo becomes Falsity, an ally who creates fake blocks, while Luke becomes the speedy scout Velocity. Viewers are also inspecting the scenery, with several comments pointing out a giant four-armed Verity in the background around the four-minute mark. The takeover has a little spot-the-monster game running alongside it.
The appetite carries into "Why I Ate My Friend's ENTIRE World?", which asks whether EYstreem can unlock the World Eater before Firelight stops him. It's drawing almost as many daily views as Verity. "Minecraft, But Every Color Has a Side Effect…" completes the new lineup, while September's EL GRAN MAJA survival adventure remains another busy stop in the archive.
Across the channel, the subscriber count was unchanged over the week, and daily viewing is currently well below its usual level. That's a different picture from Maizen's above-usual daily audience among nearby Minecraft channels. For EYstreem, though, the new adventures have found a clear center of gravity: a supposedly friendly assistant who decides friendship needs enforcing.
