Bro Thought He Finally Fixed His Car

The car has its hood and front panels off, and the man behind the wheel suddenly has another reason to worry. A loud metallic tapping seems to be coming from the engine bay.

It isn't the engine. A friend on the ground is hitting a metal beam with a wrench, supplying the alarming soundtrack himself. The driver looks shocked and confused. "The hell was that?" he asks, while the person filming laughs.

Posted by car-culture clips channel Exotic Rubber, "Bro Thought He Finally Fixed His Car" has drawn more than 920,000 views in twelve hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for a Short. This is a garage prank, not footage demonstrating an engine fault.

The comments pick up on the timing, with one viewer noting how the tapping follows the engine's revs. Several others recall a different version of the joke: the prankster stops tapping, but the knocking carries on. That's their nightmare alternative, not what happens in this clip.

Elsewhere on Exotic Rubber, "How To Bring a Rusted Engine Back To Life" has passed a million views. Here, the apparent mechanical problem needs no repair, just a friend willing to put the wrench down.
