Cristiano Ronaldo talking about life after football in 2012! 🎬😱

Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the door open to Hollywood. Asked whether he might move to Los Angeles to become an actor, he replies: "You never know the future. I love the city."

This isn't a new career announcement. It's an interview from 2012, brought back by ESPN UK alongside its coverage of Ronaldo's international retirement. The archive Short has drawn about 86,000 views in its first sixteen hours, an unusually quick start for the channel's short-form uploads.

The detail that gives the conversation its retrospective charm is Ronaldo's estimate of how much football he has left: another six or seven years. Viewers are picking up on that prediction, while others marvel at how close the old interview still feels.

The interviewer starts by asking about coaching before suggesting acting in Los Angeles. Ronaldo doesn't commit to either. He says any decision would depend on his family, and imagines coming to the city to play football or try something else. "...because I think I have talents for another thing, too," he adds.

That distinction matters beside ESPN UK's other coverage: the retirement being discussed is from international football, not an announcement in this clip that he is leaving the game altogether. The younger Ronaldo is simply entertaining possibilities, with Los Angeles appealing as somewhere that might hold more than a football pitch.
