A missing Cybercab panel draws attention to Electrek's EV week

The two podcasts widen the conversation to cars that power homes and an e-bike built for seven riders.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Philadelphia supplied Electrek.co's most watched new upload: a Tesla Cybercab spotted with a missing door panel. The brief clip reached nearly 8,000 views and is also the channel's busiest video for daily viewing right now.

That unusual sight sat within a six-upload week covering quite different parts of electrification. A report on a military drone battery-production grant drew the next-largest new audience and carries the next-most daily momentum. Hyundai's ambitions for the Ioniq V added another car story to the lineup.

The main Electrek Podcast brought the discussion closer to home, literally. Its description says Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y can now power a house through vehicle-to-home technology, or V2H. That topic also received a separate short upload. The longer conversation moved through a Kia EV3 first drive, Jaguar's Type 01 design and the different electric futures Electrek discusses for Porsche's Boxster and 911.

Meanwhile, Wheel-E offered the week's more unusual transport menu: an e-bike accommodating seven riders, a solar-powered seated scooter and electric motorcycle training. It's a useful reminder that this channel's transition away from fossil fuels doesn't stop at the car door.

Electrek added about 100,000 views across the week, with its subscriber count unchanged. Daily viewing is a little below its usual pace. Among nearby motoring channels, OGS & Mechanics and The Car Edition Ltd had substantially bigger viewing weeks; Electrek's weekly audience was larger than ETCG1's. On Electrek's own shelf, the Cybercab clip, battery-production report and main podcast are doing the most work.
