Dumbsville follows a channel scare with “GoFundMe Update (WE WON!)”

Three uploads take the channel from a Silent Hill review to a personal appeal and a grateful follow-up.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

GoFundMe Update (WE WON!)

Dumbsville's movie-and-game commentary took a personal turn with “I Almost Lost This Channel... (PLEASE SHARE).” In its description, the creator says the fundraising goal was reached in two hours. The follow-up, “GoFundMe Update (WE WON!),” says the money has been recovered, with thanks to everyone who helped. Both descriptions jokingly blame Minecraft, without explaining the circumstances there.

The week's most-watched upload remains “Silent Hill: Townfall - A HUGE Disappointment,” approaching 90,000 views. Despite that blunt title, the review makes room for positives before moving through gameplay problems, story, performance and music. Beneath it, viewers keep finding new ways to work the phrase “having a blast” into Silent Hill's decidedly uncheerful world.

The update is drawing views fastest right now, while the older “Video Game Larpers are Beyond Stupid” also has substantial momentum. Dumbsville added about 1,000 subscribers over the week, although daily viewing is below its usual pace. Nearby gaming channels Game Sack and HappyConsoleGamer are also having slower viewing days. For Dumbsville, the newest upload leaves the week on a specific note of relief: the creator says the bigger concern is now making others aware of what happened.
