The wooden crate took nine months to arrive. Once Drift Games opens it, the bigger problem is getting its contents to fit the car.
Dave Egan has ordered a replacement body kit for his Honda NSX, hoping to change its existing Liberty Walk look. He says the kit, which he found in Malaysia, cost about a tenth of the price of the Liberty Walk version. That tempting saving soon meets some unforgiving bodywork.
Craig Lawlor offers an early warning as the original panels come off: "I'm going to say the lines aren't fantastic." The test fit makes the problem unmistakable. The new panels don't line up, the bumper vents are asymmetrical, and the hood won't close properly.
The upload has drawn roughly 56,000 views in nine hours, an unusually quick start for Drift Games. It follows the channel's Japan-bought R31 reveal, but this delivery offers a very different sort of garage homecoming.
There is also a sponsored diagnostic-tool segment involving Egan's Volkswagen Polo GTI. Back at the NSX, though, no electronic fix can straighten the fiberglass. Egan abandons the replacement kit and opts to reinstall the Liberty Walk parts with some styling changes.
In the comments, viewers are discussing the NSX's black-on-black appearance, with one comparing it to an Irish Batmobile. The expensive-looking makeover turns out to involve keeping much of what was already there.
