Three armed suspects broke through a back door and confronted a family inside their Bridle Path home, Toronto police Inspector Kristy Smith says in CTV News Toronto's October 29 broadcast, posted by CP24.
A father and his two adult daughters were shot during the early-morning home invasion, according to the report. Smith describes four people being inside the house: the husband, his wife and their adult children.
The police account adds to the separate discussion of how investigators could use neighborhood cameras to trace suspects, as we reported here. This upload is the full evening newscast, rather than a standalone update on the investigation. It drew about 69,000 views since yesterday.
Anchors Michelle Dubé and Nathan Downer also cover a city traffic agent's death after being struck by a dump truck.
