Eggs, gloves and Leonard Nimoy in Columbo's casebook
Five new clips revisit art-world deception, a television cooking show and Dr. Mayfield's shaky explanation.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
A Polite Addict? | Columbo
Columbo's official channel gave Peter Falk's lieutenant several different kinds of trouble to work through, including an apron and a batch of eggs. In "Cooking Up Trouble | Columbo," Dexter Paris pulls the detective onto his cooking-show stage and makes him a volunteer. Martin Landau plays Dexter in Double Shock, turning an investigation into an awkward public performance.
The week's most watched new upload, though, was "A Polite Addict? | Columbo," drawn from A Stitch in Crime. Leonard Nimoy's Dr. Mayfield offers Columbo medication for an upset stomach, but the lieutenant has a question about a different kind of evidence: why would a desperate burglar pause to put on gloves? The absence of fingerprints makes the proposed explanation harder to swallow. Viewers pick apart Mayfield's response and offer their own glove theory; some also ask for longer clips.
Elsewhere, "Staging the Perfect Burglary | Columbo" shows Dale arranging a false robbery around missing Degas pastels. Blueprint for Murder supplies the ranch scene, while "Viveca's Lethal Strike | Columbo" returns to Lovely But Lethal and a cosmetics formula worth killing for. That newest clip currently has the strongest daily viewing momentum, followed by the cooking-show encounter.
Across the channel, the week brought roughly 739,000 views while subscribers stayed unchanged. Today's viewing is a little above its usual pace. Among nearby television channels, Hat Trick Comedy had a particularly busy week, while Outside TV was quieter in total viewing.
Nimoy's episode has another active foothold in the archive: "The Left-Handed Clue | Columbo," posted more than two weeks ago, is drawing fresh views with its arm-injection puzzle and Columbo's deduction about a medical-supply acronym.
