Rex and Toronto's new detective partnership fill Citytv's catch-up shelf

With no new uploads, the broadcaster's premiere promos offer a canine cop and a changed Law & Order duo.

An All-New Season of Hudson & Rex Premieres October 5

Rex doesn't need a fresh upload to draw attention. Citytv's promo "An All-New Season of Hudson & Rex Premieres October 5" remains its strongest daily viewing draw, approaching 100,000 views after the advertised premiere date. The series pairs a human detective with a German shepherd, an unusually four-legged addition to the police-procedural shelf.

Citytv posted nothing new this week, but its library added about 66,000 views and its subscriber count grew. Its viewing week was smaller than those of nearby television channels such as MASTERPIECE PBS and Crave, though its current daily views are above their usual pace.

The other notable activity centers on Toronto's detectives. "Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent Season 4 Premieres October 1" introduces Luke Kirby's John Darcy alongside Kathleen Munroe's Frankie Bateman, with Karen Robinson returning as Inspector Vivienne Holness. The description sets out a partnership built around distinct investigative skills and psychological profiling.

That promo and the older "Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent Season 3 | Official Trailer | Citytv" are drawing almost identical daily audiences. Together, they offer a small before-and-after: the earlier trailer pairs Bateman with Aden Young's Henry Graff, while the fourth-season announcement introduces Darcy.
