Man shot dead at Dublin Sports Grounds; elderly in-laws arrested on murder charges
A new report on the KPIX channel usually has a quiet first day of a few thousand views. Its report on a fatal shooting in Dublin is moving at about twelve times that pace.
Police said an elderly couple is suspected of shooting and killing their son-in-law in the parking lot of the Dublin Sports Grounds on Saturday. The title says the two have been arrested on murder charges. The segment comes from KPIX 5 News Mid-day, the midday newscast of CBS's San Francisco station. Dublin is a city in the East Bay, in Alameda County.
This is the second day running that one KPIX report has left the channel's usual pace far behind. Yesterday's Vietnam veteran report made a much bigger jump, and this one is smaller, but the channel as a whole is now drawing more than triple its usual daily views.
