An AI car-crash prank adds an uninsured-driver twist
CamsBanter's fast-moving clip draws attention to the man's distress as a fake collision becomes an insurance conversation.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,381,480 views a day, 14 times a normal first day on this channel (100,190).
Unc Has GENERATIONAL Crash Out😭
"Sir, is this your car?" The prankster holds out a phone displaying an AI-generated picture of a crashed vehicle. For the man shopping inside the department store, the supposed damage is presented as real.
The clip, posted by the clips channel CamsBanter as "Unc Has GENERATIONAL Crash Out😭", drew more than 550,000 views in seven hours, an unusually fast start for its Shorts. CamsBanter is sharing the prank footage, not identified as its original maker.
The setup keeps escalating. The person behind the camera says he has been drinking, then asks whether the man has car insurance. When the answer is yes, he replies, "Well, I don't." The man screams. Outside, he searches the parking lot for his vehicle while angrily addressing the prankster. The crash picture is fabricated; the clip does not establish that any collision happened.
That distress is also a focus of the comments. Several viewers express concern for the man rather than joining in with the joke, and some question the choice of prank. The comment section is already far busier than CamsBanter's usual full first day for a Short.
The insurance exchange gives this upload its particular sting: after being told his car has been hit, the man is told the supposed driver cannot cover it.
