Taylor Lewan can't shake Michigan's failed Ohio State conversion

Bussin' With The Boys trades predictions for sporting regrets, with an extra-innings loss and a Big Ten defeat joining Lewan's memory.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 39,234 views a day, 6.6 times a normal first day on this channel (5,922).

The injury against South Carolina isn't the memory Taylor Lewan would choose. Asked which sports moment still haunts him, the former Michigan player goes straight to his senior-year game against Ohio State: a two-point attempt with the win within reach.

"We go for two at the end of the game to win it all," he recalls. The conversion fails. "That haunts me for the rest of my life."

The question gives Bussin' With The Boys a different kind of highlights reel, built around moments its crew would rather forget. Another speaker remembers the Braves' marathon playoff loss to the Astros in 2005. "After you sit through 18 innings, there is no tomorrow," he says. An outdoor contribution names the 2012 Big Ten Championship against Wisconsin, a defeat that still comes to mind several times a year.

The Short drew roughly 27,000 views in its first twelve hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for that format. Its comment section was also nine times busier than a typical first day.

Viewers answer the prompt with their own stubborn memories: Atlanta's blown Super Bowl lead, David Tyree's helmet catch and Nebraska's championship-game losses. One remembers Lewan's Ohio State moment too. Another asks why a different game didn't make the cut. On this bus, even the choice of sporting heartbreak is open to discussion.

  • It sucks how every athlete can name the exact circumstances of their biggest failures and they think about them regularly while their many successes are barely thought about. I get that's how we survived as a species but it's brutal in 2026.
