The channel has been on a hot streak. First came a Trump video on the eve of the midterms, then Marjorie Taylor Greene's caravan remarks, then an Epstein files poll. This one has outpaced the Trump video that began the run. It arrived while most of the big political commentary channels, MeidasTouch and Tucker Carlson among them, were running below their usual pace.

The title never names the Republican who walked off, and neither will this story. The other name in it is Jack Smith, the former special counsel who brought the two federal cases against Donald Trump. For Cohen, a progressive commentator, an attack on Smith that falls apart is exactly his kind of material. It also got people talking: the video drew thousands of comments within those first nine hours.
