Jason Jones starts a new studio, and Aztecross is on it within hours

The Bungie co-founder's new venture, Stonekite, gave the Destiny channel its fastest video of a fifteen-upload week.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Total views on Aztecross passed a billion some time ago, and the channel keeps adding to them the way it always has: by talking Destiny nearly every day. Fifteen uploads went up in seven days, and the busiest of them is not about Destiny 2 at all, but about the man who helped make it.

Jason Jones, the Bungie co-founder whose fingerprints are on Halo and Destiny, has announced a new studio, and the tags point to its name, Stonekite. Cross's video on it, "The Co-Creator of Destiny Just made a NEW Studio.", is drawing views faster than anything else on the channel, about twelve hours after going up.

Around it, the week read like a running conversation about Bungie. "Bungie Out-of-Date" started strongly, and a reaction to a LegendaryDrops video on the latest Destiny announcement, titled "I can't believe they admitted we were right", was the week's best first day. A detour into The Division 2's Red Moon Rising event fits too, for a creator whose viewers also ask about other shooters.

The most watched upload of the week is "Remove Airborne Effectiveness", the Crucible complaint we covered here earlier. Its comments are still a class debate: Hunters, the target of the title, point out that Warlocks float and glide all over the map, Titans get reminded of their own air-only exotic, and plenty of people are quoting a "three business days" line.

Overall, the channel is running well under its usual daily pace, while the subscriber count sat still. Even so, among shooter channels of its size it gathered the second most views of the week, about 7.5 million, behind only Waffloos.
