Elites Are Running a Mass Mind Experiment on You
A thriller writer's interest in manipulation has taken Gregg Hurwitz from fictional conspiracies to the phone in your pocket. The Orphan X author joins Andrew Gold on Heretics to discuss who captures our attention, and what they might want to do with it.
The interview, titled "The Foreign Psyop Hiding in Your Phone. You Invited It In - Gregg Hurwitz", reached about 44,000 views in its first 13 hours. That's already more than four times the audience a regular Heretics interview usually draws across its whole first day.
Hurwitz raises claims about TikTok, eye tracking and biometric information, then describes troll farms running banks of devices. His argument is that foreign powers don't necessarily need people to agree with one particular position: encouraging opposing sides to distrust each other can serve their purposes too.
Gold and Hurwitz also explore conformity, cult psychology and the incentives behind online outrage, before turning to the dystopian worlds of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. The interview includes sponsorship.
Meanwhile, another Heretics conversation has crossed a different threshold. Gold's interview with Drea de Matteo, "What I Saw in Hollywood Was DEMONIC - Sopranos Star", has passed a million views. As we reported here, that conversation includes the actress's memories of her first Sopranos paycheck and the work behind playing Adriana La Cerva.
