All New Bricks packs a toy soldier into Christmas stocking

The week's only upload combines a stop-motion build with gold stars, a fold-out stand and a mischievous gingerbread tree.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A stocking needs something tucked inside it, and All New Bricks has supplied a toy soldier with a rather eventful decorating assignment.

"LEGO Christmas Stocking: Item #40958" was the channel's only new upload this week, reaching roughly 10,500 views. Hands open the numbered paper bags before stop-motion takes over, assembling the stocking's structure, patterned plates and gold stars. A candy cane, snowflake and white trim finish the display, while a hinged stand lets it sit upright rather than hang.

Then comes the channel's "Minifigure Mayhem" interlude. A toy soldier assembles himself and decorates a little gingerbread tree, only for a sneeze to scatter him into pieces. The tree walks away. Both eventually become inserts in the finished stocking, a small animated detour between construction and the final demonstration.

Viewers are discussing the clicking sounds and stop-motion technique, along with whether late October is too early for a Christmas build. One particularly specific observation concerns the noises made by the gingerbread tree.

The stocking is among the channel's busiest videos right now, although the month-old "LEGO City #60480 Yellow Backhoe Loader" is attracting more daily viewing. LEGO supplied the set for that build. The Joker wall-art reveal also remains active, offering a very different kind of display piece.

All New Bricks gained 10,000 subscribers over the week, even as daily viewing now runs at less than half its usual pace. Nearby in the craft world, BRIKLE - Lego Instructions is drawing slightly more daily viewing than usual; All New Bricks' own momentum currently rests with the backhoe and its newly filled stocking.

  • In case you don't know how it builds it so fast he uses stop motion and edits it to make the interlocking clicking sound.
