Three slices, not two: zi8gzag's GeoSlice square gets harder
A return to GeoHunter's premium modes and a volcano split filled out a week that began with 400,000 subscribers.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Split the Square into 3 Even Populations
zi8gzag, the Australian Geoguessr player Oscar, spent his week cutting maps into pieces and guessing at the world in new ways. The freshest is "Split the Square into 3 Even Populations", a GeoSlice round where the usual halving becomes thirds, which his own description admits is "quite a bit more challenging." It is less than a day old and already the busiest video on the channel.
Earlier came "Geoguessr Pro Tries GeoHunter Again", a second go at the country-ranking game, this time with its premium modes unlocked. It was the week's most watched upload, and the comments read like a study group: one viewer confesses the game taught them they have no idea where coffee is made, another explains why Croatia ranked so low on Champions League goals, and several want a pinpointing duel against fellow Geoguessr pro MK. A few also stopped by to congratulate him on passing 400,000 subscribers. Between the two sat "split the number of volcanoes in 2", a quieter slice of the same idea.
The GeoSlice series has a tail, too: "split the map into 4 even populations", now over two weeks old, still draws more each day than the GeoHunter return.
Views ran slower than usual overall, though the channel still gathered close to a million across the week and kept adding subscribers. Among strategy and simulation channels near its size, Xaryu is having an enormous week and Goresh is well above its usual pace, while zi8gzag sits third in the group for views gained.
