How Mantises Kill Huge Prey 😨

The lizard is bigger, but the mantis has the equipment. In a 3D animated Short posted on Zack D. Films, an approaching reptile gets caught in the insect's spined front legs, then pulled toward its mouth.

This is an illustrated explanation, not wildlife footage. Close-ups show how the spines hold the prey and how the mouthparts cut off small pieces. The narration ends with the unsettling detail that the mantis feeds before its catch is dead.

The comments take that predator-prey reversal into familiar fictional worlds: viewers bring up Fallout: New Vegas's giant mantises and reconsider the little martial artist in Kung Fu Panda. Another viewer questions the animation's lunging movement, pointing instead to the mantis's usual ambush approach: waiting within reach or creeping closer before striking.
